Two nights of island camping – that’s what we’re offering up this weekend, along with canoeing, motorboating, kayaking, and more! The annual camping weekend at South Holston Lake has always been one of our scouts’ favorites. We will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday July 12 at the church. The cost for this trip is $25, which covers all meals and fuel for the boats. We can accommodate folks who need to come late or leave early – we just need to coordinate rendezvous times at the dock, so please let us know by way of reply to this e-mail or in person on Tuesday night.
At this time, we are still looking for a motorboat for wake boarding/skiing/tubing, a pontoon boat for hauling the gear, and some adult chaperones. If you can provide any of these, please let me know.
This is a great trip for scouts to bring a friend. We just need to be sure we have an accurate head count. Please reply to this e-mail as your R.S.V.P. and let us know if your scout (and/or friend) will be joining us on this trip.
