October 8-10:
A district camporee is an exciting event where all the troops from the greater Bristol area come together for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and competition. This year’s theme is “Island Challenge,” and there will be both an island challenge event and a scavenger hunt, among other activities.
We will meet on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at the church to pack the gear for the Camporee.
We will camp Friday night and Saturday night at Steele Creek Park, returning to the church on Sunday. Scouts should bring regular camping gear (troop will provide tents) and scout uniform (required). Cost for the weekend is $20, which covers camping, event patch, and all meals. All scouts should plan to attend this fun event!
