Scout Sunday 2015—State Street United Methodist Church
A scout is reverent. This is the final point of our Scout Law, and it is especially appropriate this week as we celebrate Scout Sunday. Mr. Belew reminds our scouts in the weeks leading up to Scout Sunday that it is their responsibility to be present at State Street UMC for worship because this is one of the only opportunities we have to thank the church for all that they provide for our troop.
Scouts should arrive at the church between 10:15 and 10:30. Scouts should dress in full uniform (shirt and neckerchief) and wear scout pants or nice blue jeans. Parents and families are invited to attend with us. The service starts at 11:00 and should end around noon. The troop will furnish a pizza lunch for the scouts, and some patrols may be working on preparations for Klondike Derby for an hour or so after lunch – check with your patrol adviser for details.
We hope to see every scout and his family this Sunday.
