e will meet at 12:05 pm on Sunday June 21 in the rear parking lot of State Street United Methodist Church. Below is a list of things to bring. We recommend packing a suitcase or foot locker instead of a backpack. We will stop at McDonalds in Kingsport for lunch (bring money or send a packed lunch).
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
- Health Form (mandatory) – turn in to Mr. Rutherford ASAP.
- Payment if you haven’t already paid.
- Scout uniform including neckerchief (please bring it on a hanger)
- Scout shorts and scout socks if you already own them
- T-shirts (including troop 8 shirt)
- Shorts (Bring long pants if you are taking climbing or COPE or lifesaving)
- Socks & underwear
- Shoes (recommend two pairs)
- Sandals
- Poncho or rain gear
- Swim trunks (street wear not allowed in pool)
- Sleeping bag, bed sheet (for hot nights) and pillow
- Notebook and pens or pencils (for classes)
- Boy Scout handbook
- Flashlight (with fresh batteries)
- Cup –We are NOT packing disposable cups
- Pocketknife
- Toiletries (toothbrush, towels (2), soap, etc.)
- Sunscreen and Insect Repellant
- Spending money for Trading Post
- Camera (optional)
- Fishing tackle (optional – age 13 and up requires TN fishing license)
- Frisbee, Baseball glove, deck of cards, other fun games for free time
Don’t bring anything from the “forbidden items list.” This includes cell phones, electronics, mp3 players, sheath knives, fireworks, glass containers, or unapproved reading materials. If in doubt as to whether something is forbidden, ask the Scoutmaster.
