As the core leadership skills training course for the BSA, Wood Badge focuses on strengthening every volunteer’s ability to work with groups of youth and adults. Wood Badge courses aim to make Scouters better leaders by teaching advanced leadership skills, and by creating a bond and commitment to the Scout movement. The Wood Badge course centers upon the concepts of servant leadership and leaving a legacy. Wood Badge consists of a six day course followed by 18 months of practical application (the ticket), and is the pinnacle training available to scout leaders. |
