This coming weekend is a very important one for our community and for Troop 8, and we need all hands-on-deck! On Saturday November 9, Troop 8 will participate in Scouting for Food.
This time of year, shelves at the Bristol Emergency Food Pantry are nearly bare. Our two-weekend food drives supplies more than half of their stock pile of food for an entire year. This is an extremely important project, and we have a large area to cover. We need all scouts there to help, and we also need parent volunteers to drive our scouts around. Please let us know if you are available to help. Meat at the church at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday November 9. Scouts should wear scout uniforms. We will divide up into small teams and cover our territory. After the food drive, we will meet at the church at 11 am to pack for the Natural Tunnel camping trip.
